Our softwood species have been used for construction, high-quality joinery and landscaping requirements as well as luxury interior applications.
Pine Wood is a great product for general construction use due to its density, allowing for great strength.
It has beautiful grains for decorative finishing while also being very easy to work with.
It's available as kiln-dried (KD), air-dried (AD) as well as pressure-treated for prevention of termites and decay.
Pine Wood lumber includes:
Southern Yellow Pine (SYP)
Brazilian Pine Wood
Spruce Pine Fir (SPF)
SPF is great for use in a wide range of residential and commercial construction scenarios.
It's very stable and less prone to cracks and bowing. It's lightweight and easy to work with, while also being easy to nail, screw and cut.
Spruce / White wood
European spruce has a fine even texture with consistent straight grains. It's easy to work with, glues, and finishes well but can give poor results when using wood strains.
Spruce is generally regarded as one of the cheaper timbers to use in construction and furniture
Douglas Fir is great for indoor and outdoor application, particularly where strength is required in structural applications.
It's a great product for pavilions, patios, pergolas even when stained or painted. Premium Douglas Fir is beautiful to use as an exposed product.
Western Hemlock is a good timber for handsome solid wood doors, louvers, shutters, moulding and furniture, mostly for indoor use.
It's stronger than Spruce and Cedar and can also resist decay quite well.
It also has non-toxic and odourless benefits which appeal to many consumers.
Yellow Cedar known for the beauty of its uniform yellow color, the strength of its fine even-texture and straight grain, and durability in outdoor applications.
Ideally suited for almost any outdoor or indoor project including patio covers, decks, gardens, trim, paneling and more. Alaskan Yellow Cedar lasts longer, stand up to the elements, and is harder than most commercial softwoods making it an ideal choice when strength and workability are desired.
It's also a great alternative to pressure treated lumber which may not be readily available.
If you’re aiming to have one of the best-looking projects in your neighborhood, then choose one of the world’s most beautiful woods – Western Red Cedar.
