African Heavy Timber for Oil & Gas and Infrastructure Projects
Premier supplier of heavy-duty African hardwood timber for the oil and gas, pipeline, infrastructure, and marine construction industries. Our premium species — including Azobé (Ekki), Okan, and Tali — deliver the extreme strength, density, and durability required for the most demanding industrial applications.
Why African Hardwood for Industrial and Heavy Lift Applications
When ground conditions, load requirements, and safety standards demand absolute structural integrity, African hardwoods are the material of choice. These species are classified as Durability Class 1 — the highest rating for natural timber — and offer performance characteristics that softwoods and engineered alternatives simply cannot match.
They are naturally resistant to rot, fungi, insects, and marine borers — making them ideal for use in extreme heat, high humidity, coastal environments, and prolonged ground contact without the need for chemical treatment.

Crane Mats and Timber Mats
Our heavy-duty hardwood crane mats provide stable, level ground protection for crawler cranes, piling rigs, and heavy construction equipment operating on soft, uneven, or unstable terrain.
Manufactured from Azobé, Okan, or Tali, these mats are designed to distribute massive loads safely and can be reused across multiple projects. Available in standard and custom sizes to suit your lift plan requirements, with steel-reinforced bolt connections and countersunk hardware for a flush working surface.
-
Standard sizes: 4’ x 16’, 4’ x 20’, 4’ x 30’, 4’ x 40’
-
Thickness: 8” to 12” (200mm to 300mm)
-
Custom dimensions available on request
-
Also known as: timber mats, access mats, swamp mats, dragline mats, ground protection mats

Blocking and Cribbing
Heavy hardwood blocking and cribbing timbers are essential for supporting and stabilising loads during heavy lifts, equipment positioning, pipeline construction, and shutdown maintenance operations.
Our blocking is precision-cut from Azobé, Okan, and Tali to exact project specifications. These timbers absorb and distribute enormous compressive forces without splitting, crushing, or deforming — critical for safe lift operations in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and infrastructure sectors.

Pipeline Cribbing and Skids
We supply precision-cut hardwood cribbing and pipeline skids for pipe-laying, storage, and transportation operations. These timbers cradle, support, and protect pipeline segments during fabrication, welding, coating, and installation.
Our pipeline timber is selected for its high density, smooth surface finish, and resistance to deformation under sustained loads.

Outrigger Pads
Solid African hardwood outrigger pads provide a stable, high-capacity base for mobile crane outriggers, concrete pump booms, and aerial work platforms.
Available in single-piece and laminated configurations, our pads ensure safe load distribution on any ground condition.

Marine and Coastal Timber
Azobé in particular has a long and proven track record in marine construction. Its natural resistance to marine borers (Teredo and Limnoria) makes it one of the few timbers that can be used for marine piling, jetty construction, dock fendering, groyne walls, and coastal defence structures without chemical treatment.
We supply marine-grade African hardwood in structural dimensions for port, harbour, and waterfront projects across the GCC.

Heavy Structural Timber
Beyond crane mats and blocking, we supply large-section African hardwood beams, posts, and sleepers for bridges, retaining walls, railway infrastructure, industrial flooring, and heavy engineering applications where long-term strength and durability are non-negotiable.
