Thermowood Decking
What is Thermowood?
Thermowood is timber that has been modified using heat rather than chemicals. The wood goes through a controlled high-temperature process that permanently changes its cellular structure, making it significantly more resistant to moisture, rot, warping and decay than untreated timber. The result is a natural wood product that performs like a hardwood, lasts far longer than standard softwood, and requires no toxic treatments or preservatives.
In the UAE and GCC, thermowood is particularly well suited to the outdoor environment. The extreme heat, direct sun exposure and humidity cycles that break down conventional timber quickly are exactly the conditions thermowood is built to handle.
We supply Thermory thermowood decking across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and the wider GCC region. To compare it against other premium options, see our full wood decking range.

How Does Thermowood Compare?
If you're weighing up thermowood against other decking options, here's a straight comparison:
Accoya wood decking carries a 50-year warranty and is the most dimensionally stable option available — it's the premium choice for projects where budget is secondary to performance and longevity.
Thermowood sits between Accoya and conventional softwood in both price and performance. It outperforms standard softwood decking on durability and maintenance, is chemical free, and comes in at a more accessible price point than Accoya for larger projects.
Hardwood decking — Iroko, Burma Teak and others — offers a traditional rich tropical timber appearance and strong natural durability and are great alternatives to Thermowood
Bamboo decking is the most sustainable option by raw material source and suits projects with a specific natural aesthetic brief.
